Internships

 Each year the LIO labEx offers numerous introductory research internships in LIO teams for students starting from L2, for periods of 2 months or more, based on the students' interests.
In 2024, the LIO will finance 22 months worth of gratification :
  • New effective interactions, gap equation in infinite matter and decomposition of the interaction into spin-isospin channels, 4-months IP2I internship
  • Non-standard black holes and Hawking radiation, 4-months IN2P3 internship
  • Search for CP violations in the top quark sector with CMS at the LHC, 4-months IN2P3 internship
  • Simulations targeting the constraints on and performances of possible detectors for FCC, in particular the evaluation of data rates and occupancies, and the definition of electronics needs, 4-months IP2I internship

  • Identify and characterize galaxy-galaxy lens systems in the deep fields of MUSE by their spatial proximity projected onto the sky. The student will make a systematic analysis of the best candidates and estimate the probability of this phenomenon for typical deep field galaxies MUSE, 4-months CRAL internship
  • Study of the performance of the SPHERE instrument using data from the large SHINE survey in order to prepare the SPHERE+ instrument, 4-months CRAL internship

  • Searching for physics beyond the Standard Model decaying into a top quark and a Higgs boson in the CMS experiment, 4-months IP2I internship
